Reimagining visual test automation with AI
At Applitools, we set out to solve a fundamental challenge in test automation: creating and maintaining automated tests required significant technical expertise and ongoing effort.
I led the UX design of Autonomous Testing, an AI-powered platform that automatically discovers website flows, generates visual tests, runs them across environments, and surfaces actionable results with minimal user input.
The goal was to enable QA engineers and developers to move from manually authoring and maintaining hundreds of tests to simply providing a website URL and letting the platform do the heavy lifting.
The result was a dramatically simplified testing experience that helped teams create and stabilize tests in a fraction of the time while increasing adoption of visual testing across organizations.
The Challenge
Traditional automated testing tools required:

As applications grew larger, maintaining test suites became increasingly expensive and time-consuming.
Discovery & Ideation
I led a cross-functional design sprint to map Jobs-to-be-Done and prioritize "How Might We" questions. Research revealed that existing users struggled with cluttered navigation and non-intuitive UI.
